Posting language: English

Original job description

Our client is a locally owned, family-run service company that has been looking after businesses across Northern Alberta for over 45 years, winning against national competitors by being responsive, flexible, and genuinely invested in their customers. It's a close-knit team where people stay for the long haul, support one another, and new team members are trained and backed from day one. Based in the Grande Prairie area, the new Territory Sales Representative will be responsible for growing an assigned territory by bringing on new business customers and building on relationships with existing accounts.

Territory Sales Representative responsibilities:

Manage an assigned territory with an established customer base, splitting your time roughly 50/50 between winning new business and growing and retaining existing accounts
Build your pipeline mainly through warm and cold calling, along with in-person visits to local businesses
Get to know each customer's needs, recommend the right solutions, prepare quotes, and follow up consistently
Travel throughout the territory in a company vehicle, including 1–2 overnight trips per month to Dawson Creek, Fort St. John, and the Edmonton area
Partner closely with a dedicated Account Manager and the wider team to take great care of every customer
Stay on top of your pipeline and keep CRM records, customer details, and sales activity current
Join the team in the office on Mondays and Fridays for meetings, planning, and collaboration

The successful candidate has:

1–3 years of B2B sales, territory sales, account management, or similar customer-facing experience (industry experience isn't required, as full training is provided)
Confidence picking up the phone or walking into a business to start a conversation, rather than relying on email
A self-starting attitude, with the drive to seek out opportunities and follow through without being reminded
Strong organization and attention to detail, with comfort handling both the people side and the admin side of sales
Comfort using Word, Excel, Outlook, and CRM systems
A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel overnight 1–2 nights per month

Compensation and benefits:

The discussed on-target earnings (OTE) are $75,000
Full company benefits package
Company vehicle provided
Company-issued cell phone and laptop
Two weeks of vacation
Lots of hands-on training and ongoing development, with owners who are committed to their people

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Only those selected to move forward in the hiring process will be contacted.
