Role: SAP D2D Test Lead
Location: Calgary, AB_ Hybrid

As the SAP D2D Value Stream Test Lead, your primary responsibility is to ensure that all business processes within this stream are thoroughly validated, integrated, and ready for deployment without disrupting operations. 8 Years of experience across these specific technical areas: Core SAP Modules: PP (Production Planning), QM (Quality Management), PM (Plant Maintenance), and PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) coupled with test automation experience of 5 years
Core Responsibilities
1. Test Planning
- Define Scope: Identify which SAP modules (such as PLM, PP, QM, PM, or MM) and third-party systems (like MES or PLM software) fall under the D2D testing umbrella.
- Test Planning: Map out the testing timelines, resource requirements, and environment needs for System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Risk Assessment: Highlight high-risk business processes - such as complex Bill of Materials (BOM) transfers or real-time shop floor integration - and prioritize their testing.
2. Test Design & Data Management
- Scenario Authoring: Oversee the creation of end-to-end test scripts that mimic real-world manufacturing and engineering cycles.
- Master Data Strategy: Coordinate the availability of critical D2D test data (e.g., material masters, work centers, routing, inspection plans) which are notoriously complex and prone to environment mismatches.
- Tool Configuration: Manage test cases, requirements traceability, and defects within test management tools like SAP Cloud ALM, SAP Solution Manager (SolMan), or Micro Focus ALM (Quality Center).
3. Test Execution & Defect Management
- Coordination: Lead execution cycles across cross-functional teams, ensuring business analysts, technical developers, and business key users run their scripts on time.
- Integration Testing: Focus heavily on touchpoints between D2D and other value streams, such as Source to Pay (procuring raw materials) and Order to Cash (shipping finished products).
- Triage & Resolution: Chair daily defect triage meetings to classify, prioritize, and assign bugs to the development or configuration teams, ensuring blockers are resolved quickly.
4. Stakeholder Management & Reporting
- Status Reporting: Provide clear, metrics-driven progress reports (test execution percentages, defect curves, pass/fail rates) to Project Management and Value Stream Leads.
- UAT Facilitation: Act as the bridge to the business community, helping guide manufacturing plant managers and planners through the acceptance testing phase.
- Sign-off: Document and formally present test closure reports to gain business sign-off before Go-Li
