Description
- Working in the Alzheimer Society’s Resource Development Department to assist in developing and implementing a marketing plan for all Society events and programs.

Responsibilities
- Assist the Resource Development Department to develop and implement comprehensive marketing campaigns for all Society programming and fundraising events.
- Review previous years’ post-event documentation and adhere to critical timelines to ensure consistent and successful community engagement.
- Engage with past sponsors, donors, and participants while actively identifying and recruiting new supporters to expand the donor base.
- Customize event marketing materials in strict accordance with Alzheimer Society branding guidelines and assist in the preparation of media releases and public service announcements (PSAs).
- Create and schedule engaging content for social media, email marketing, and newsletter, while ensuring the organization’s website remains up to date.
- Monitor digital analytics and assist in generating reports to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing and outreach efforts.
- Contribute to post-event analysis and reporting, including the accurate updating and maintenance of database spreadsheets.
- Collaborate closely with Volunteer Services Coordinator to identify and fulfill recruitment needs for various events and programs.
Required Skills
- Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in Marketing, Communications, Business, Event Planning, Public Relations or any other area that would be an asset to the position.
- Support the strategic planning, development, marketing, and execution of all Alzheimer Society fundraising events and any third-party events.
- Assist with the marketing and delivery of established events – including the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s, Forget-Me-Not Raffle, and Social with a Purpose.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage sponsors, donors and participants both on the phone and in person.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple competing priorities, and organize complex tasks effectively.
- Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Practical experience managing social media platforms and using design software such as Canva.
- Highly skilled in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Have a valid driver’s license and regular access to a reliable vehicle for event-related travel.
