The Opportunity:
The Ministry of Social Services is seeking a well-organized professional, who is service orientated and a problem solver, to fill the position of Information Management Consultant. Responsibilities
Review and interpret relevant legislation, regulations, and ministry policies and procedures and gather relevant information to apply legislation appropriately.
Collect and compile information to assist colleagues in identifying, investigating, and recommending actions to resolve privacy and/or records management related incidents or inquiries.
Interpret policy and provide advice to ensure compliance with legislative obligations, regulations, and ministry standards.
Conduct data entry and manage data systems to ensure accurate and timely information.
Maintain records and analyze compliance-related data to support decision-making.
Perform administrative tasks associated with workflows with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Technical Knowledge and Skills:
The successful candidate will demonstrate an understanding of human service ministries, common clients’ information, and existing government information management systems. Experience with SWIN and LINKIN case management systems is an asset.
Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position would be acquired through the completion of a certificate program related to information management and at least three years’ experience working in the information management field or an equivalent combination of training and experience in a related discipline.
