JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) - Avionics to support the Canadian government's CC330 Husky fleet at Ottawa International Airport (YOW). The successful candidate will perform avionics maintenance, repairs, modifications, troubleshooting, and maintenance release activities while ensuring fleet readiness for the Strategic Tanker Transport Capability (STTC) program. This role also offers the opportunity to travel globally as a flying maintenance technician supporting aircraft in service. Candidates must be eligible for a Canadian Secret security clearance and be open to travel.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
-Transport Canada AME E (Avionics) License.
-Valid ACA (Aircraft Certification Authority) authorization or ability to obtain/maintain ACA.
-Minimum 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience, specifically on Airbus A330 aircraft.
-Experience performing maintenance, repairs, modifications, troubleshooting, and certification activities on aircraft systems.
-Ability and willingness to travel internationally as part of an In-Service Support program to support aircraft operations.
-Experience working within a regulated aviation maintenance environment and signing maintenance releases.
-Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
-Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
-Ability to work the rotational schedule and support operations at Ottawa International Airport.
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
-Direct experience on the CC330 Husky platform.
-Previous experience supporting military, government, or special mission aircraft programs. Based on user notes and fleet information.
-Experience with Strategic Tanker Transport Capability (STTC) operations, including air-to-air refueling aircraft. Based on user notes.
-Previous flying crew or deployable maintenance support experience.
-Experience working within government or defense aviation maintenance programs.
Compensation:
$30/hr to $59/hr
