Our client is a well-established, privately held construction company based on the North Shore - with a strong reputation built over decades across residential and commercial projects throughout BC. We're seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee financial leadership and support a group of companies, partnering with senior management to drive progressive financial performance.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee accounting operations for all five operating entities.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and year end close procedures.
- Ensure accurate recording of revenue, costs, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets and intercompany accounts.
- Oversee AP and AR processes across five entities
- Monitor cash requirements across all entities and projects.
- Ensure timely processing and payment of subcontractors, supplies and other vendors.
- Monitor collections, aged receivables, and customer accounts.
- Coordinate annual budgets across all five operating entities.
- Support year-end audit, including preparation of working papers, analysis, and other required support.
- Establish controls over intercompany transactions between the multiple entities.
- Help mitigate financial, contractual, fraud and reporting risks.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Canadian and BC accounting, tax and reporting requirements.
Requirements:
- CPA
- 3+ years within construction industry
- Supervisory experience is a nice to have
- Familiarity with Acumatica is an asset
