About the Role
Reporting into the contract leadership team, you will manage the billing and maintenance administration team while overseeing the accounting and administrative requirements of the contract. You'll maintain and document all contract information, provide regular data reporting to the client, and contribute to overall financial reporting - all while fostering a high standard of customer service in this client-facing position.
What You'll Do
- Lead, mentor, and coordinate the activities of the contract's administrative and billing staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to deadlines
- Foster a collaborative team environment, set performance expectations, and conduct regular performance reviews for direct reports
- Oversee full-cycle contract accounting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual accrual processes
- Oversee document control processes and maintain contract accounting records per client requirements
- Oversee completion of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Assist in developing facility maintenance budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
- Drive continuous improvement of accounting processes, controls, and reporting
- Oversee work order management responsibilities of the team
- Collaborate with procurement and other departments to streamline workflow processes
- Create and update training materials and lead ongoing training initiatives
- Provide back-up support to Administrators as needed
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field
- Recognized degree or technical diploma in accounting; CPA certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience, including training and overseeing administrative staff
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field
- Experience in auditing and financial reporting is an asset
- Proficiency in JD Edwards or similar Oracle-based ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a keen interest in process improvement
