Our client is seeking an experienced Operations Finance Manager to join their growing organization. This newly created role combines finance, operations, systems, and people leadership. You will oversee high-volume transaction processes, support ERP-related initiatives, drive process improvements, and manage a small team while ensuring strong financial controls and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Finance & Operations
- Monitor high-volume transactions including purchases, sales, settlements, and inventory activity.
- Manage and reconcile inventory subledger accounts.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities.
- Assist with audits, reporting, and ad hoc financial analysis.
- Ensure accuracy and quality control across automated and recurring processes.
Process & Systems
- Act as a key process owner for critical operational workflows.
- Support ERP maintenance, enhancements, configuration, and user training.
- Coordinate and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Maintain system documentation and process procedures.
- Partner with vendors, developers, and internal stakeholders to improve business processes.
- Identify root causes of operational issues and implement sustainable solutions.
Leadership
- Supervise and mentor a small team.
- Lead and participate in cross-functional projects.
- Support business growth through scalable process improvements.

Qualifications
- CPA designation required.
- Degree or diploma in Accounting, Commerce, or Business.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
- Strong understanding of financial controls and high-volume transaction environments.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience required.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high growth, fast-paced environment.
- Strong relationship-building skills and collaborative approach.
- Retail or distribution industry experience.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or a similar ERP platform.
- Expert Excel and SQL.
- Experience with ERP implementations, upgrades, or UAT testing.
