Robert Half has partnered up with an industry leader to identify a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant to join their growing finance team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong technical accounting knowledge, experience preparing accurate and timely financial reports, and the ability to support a fast-paced, deadline-driven reporting environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and related reporting packages.
- Support internal and external financial reporting requirements, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
- Assist with the preparation of consolidated financial statements, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Coordinate and support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare supporting working papers, schedules, and disclosures for statutory and management reporting.
- Partner with internal stakeholders across finance, audit, and operations to ensure reporting accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with external audit requirements, including preparation of audit schedules and responding to auditor requests.
- Review and analyze general ledger activity to identify discrepancies, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Contribute to the enhancement of financial reporting processes, internal controls, and documentation.
- Support special projects related to technical accounting, process improvements, and system implementations, as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or pursuit of CPA is considered an asset.
- Accepting public practice background or industry background
- 4+ years of progressive accounting or financial reporting experience.
- Experience with financial statement preparation, month-end close, and account reconciliation.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently in a collaborative environment.
