About The Role
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on
Operations Manager to oversee building operations across a diverse residential and commercial property portfolio in Iqaluit. This leadership role involves managing facilities, maintenance programs, and a team of 15-20 employees while ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations in a northern environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily building operations, maintenance, and facilities services.
- Lead, mentor, and support maintenance teams and supervisors.
- Manage boiler plants, glycol heating, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Conduct property inspections and mechanical assessments.
- Develop and monitor preventative maintenance programs.
- Coordinate repairs, service requests, contractors, and capital projects.
- Oversee operating budgets, inventory, and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Maintain positive relationships with tenants, vendors, and internal teams.
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to after-hours emergencies.
Qualifications
- Class 4 Power Engineering Certificate (required).
- Class 3 Power Engineering Certificate is a strong asset.
- 6+ years of experience in building operations, facilities management, or property leadership.
- Strong technical knowledge of building mechanical systems, including boilers, glycol heating, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
- Proven experience leading maintenance or facilities teams.
- Experience with preventative maintenance planning and work order systems.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness and ability to relocate to Iqaluit, Nunavut.

- $145,000+ annual salary, negotiable based on experience.
