Adecco is currently recruiting for a Contracts Advisor on behalf of a leading Oil & Gas client in Calgary, AB. This is a 12-month contract opportunity with potential for extension.
You will interface within our client contracting and procurement team and collaborate with their internal stakeholders and Contractors to ensure that they maintain services to all of there project areas and sites.
- Location: Calgary, AB
- Shift: Monday to Friday | 8-hour shifts | 5 days office based
- Job type: Full-time | one year contract with possibility of extension
- Pay: $60- $77/hr (depends on your level of experience)
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the development of project-specific SCM execution plans, including sourcing strategies, commercial strategies, procurement plans, and contracting plans throughout the various stages of projects.
- Build relationships with project execution teams, identify project priorities to provide effective SCM support.
- Coordinate the negotiation, execution, and administration of complex high-value contracts while ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.
- Coordinate the development of scopes of work facilitating issuance of clear and functional contracts, sub-agreements, or change orders through change management.
- Liaise with project stakeholders and cross-functional groups including Category Management, Commercial, Legal, EH&S, and Finance, ensure contractor pre-qualification, create and administer contracts and service agreements.
- Implement and maintain tracking systems while ensuring signing authorities are adhered to for commitments.
Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience in a contracts administration or Intermediate contract advisor role with experience in Capital or Business Unit Projects
- Post-secondary education in business or supply chain management preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products specifically Excel and with SAP.
- Proficiency with Supply Chain Projects Procedures and Work Practices
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and tight deadlines
- Professional level of knowledge related to SCM Practices and processes, including the contract lifecycle, from RFP through to Close-out.
- Demonstrated expertise in contract management, contract and procurement law
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills, as well as a collaborative approach when working with both internal and external stakeholders
