The Associate VP External Affairs is responsible for working with the VP External Affairs in managing and creating business relationships to gather in-kind and monetary support for CUS-sponsored events, services, and conferences.

Time Commitment & Term of Employment
- 5-10 hours per week (up to 15 during peak times)
- September 2026- March 2027
Main Responsibilities
- Expand the network of business professionals and companies supporting the CUS by connecting with sponsors and interested parties
- Manage external relations and ensure external communications from CR
Managers, sponsors, and clubs are streamlined and do not overlap
- Align sponsorship goals with the VP External Affairs while leading a team of CR Managers and delegating responsibilities to ensure the team remains on track throughout the year
- Lead the CUSavings program with CR Managers and maintain a strong partnership with CUSavings partners, as well as promote the program to Sauder students
- Collaborate with CUS services and Marketing portfolio to create and update the CUS Sponsorship Package
- Develop, maintain, and consistently update the CUS Corporate Contacts database and digital wallet to ensure high levels of transparency and to allow for resource-sharing initiatives
- Maintain clear communications with the VP External Affairs to ensure the executive council and services are kept in the loop with progress updates
- Drive new pilot initiatives to promote the CUS in the professional community
- Collaborate with the VP External Affairs in working on interfaculty events
