The Education & Resources Director is responsible for assisting in the writing and editing process of the CUS Equity Action Plan, as well as delivering workshops and training sessions within different CUS portfolios to enhance CUS’s inclusivity and diversity.

Time Commitment 3-8 hours per week
Term of Employment September 2026 - April 2027
Main Responsibilities

Assist with the organizing and presenting equity-centred workshops in CUS clubs, services, or portfolios on an as-needed basis.

Participate in the updating process of workshop materials.

Contribute ideas and passions to making a more inclusive student culture.

Reporting to and working with the Equity Advisors on all assigned work.

Provide assistance with all E&I events and boothing

Attend weekly team meetings.
Qualifications
-
UBC Sauder Undergraduate student.
-
Proficient public speaking and communication skills.
-
Committed to advocating for inclusivity and belonging at UBC Sauder.
-
A strong desire to learn from diverse perspectives.
-
Functional time management and organization skills.
-
Able to work independently (with guidance).
Anticipated Learning Outcomes
The Education & Resources Director will be able to develop their communication and interpersonal skills throughout their term. As members of the equity commission, you will also be able to meet and develop connections with professionals working in Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. You will also be given the chance to communicate with a diverse group of individuals. In addition, you will have the opportunity to use and develop skills in (but not limited to) the following areas:
