Corporate Actions Specialist – Notifications | 12-Month Contract | Hybrid, Downtown Toronto
My client, one of Canada's Big 5 banks, is growing its Corporate Actions and Entitlements team within Asset Servicing. Several experienced team members are moving onto a strategic transformation program. That means three 12-month contract openings for people who already know this work and want to step into a high-visibility team, with real knowledge transfer from the specialists they're succeeding.
This role owns the full lifecycle of corporate action notifications. You'll take event announcements from receipt through to the right people having the right information, before deadlines hit.
What you'll do:
- Manage corporate action notifications end to end, including events received via SWIFT and announced through depositories such as CDS, DTC and foreign CSDs.
- Support mandatory and voluntary events, including mergers, tender offers, stock splits and reverse splits.
- Provide pre- and post-settlement support for corporate actions and entitlement payments.
- Reconcile positions and records, and resolve discrepancies quickly.
- Extract and format data into regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards.
- Partner with internal teams, custodians and clients to resolve issues and meet SLAs.
- Act as a go-to resource for junior team members, and contribute to process and control improvements.
What you bring:
- Hands-on experience in corporate actions and/or entitlements processing, ideally at a bank, custodian, dealer or transfer agent.
- Working experience with Broadridge.
- A solid understanding of event workflows, key dates, and the operational risk of missed notices and election deadlines.
- Strong Excel and data skills.
- A sharp eye for detail and the ability to prioritize under deadline pressure.
The details:
- 12-month contract, targeting a November start.
- Hybrid, downtown Toronto, with in-office time no more than once a week.
- $30–$32/hr on T4, or up to $40/hr incorporated.
