Supply Chain PMO – Scrum Master
Role Overview
We are seeking experienced Scrum Masters to support a large-scale Supply Chain transformation initiative focused on modernizing distribution operations across transportation and warehousing domains.
This is a high-visibility, multi-year program designed to improve operational performance, increase delivery speed, and strengthen execution discipline across cross-functional Agile teams.
The Scrum Master will operate within a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment, enabling Agile teams to execute effectively, removing impediments, and ensuring consistent delivery of business value.
Program Context
- Enterprise initiative focused on transportation, warehousing, order prioritization, and customer visibility
- Emphasis on improving delivery timelines, execution consistency, and operational efficiency
- Work executed through cross-functional “pod” structures aligned to specific supply chain workstreams
- Operates within a structured governance model requiring strong coordination, transparency, and accountability
Key Responsibilities
Agile Delivery & Team Enablement
- Serve as Scrum Master for one or more Agile pods aligned to supply chain workstreams
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Guide teams in Agile best practices to ensure consistent, predictable delivery of work
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and team ownership
Backlog & Flow Management
- Partner with Product Owners to ensure backlog readiness, prioritization, and clarity of user stories
- Support teams in maintaining sprint commitments and managing scope effectively
- Monitor team velocity, capacity, and delivery flow to optimize throughput
- Ensure transparency of work progress through Agile tools and reporting
Impediment Removal & Risk Management
- Identify and remove impediments that impact team delivery
- Proactively surface risks and dependencies across teams and workstreams
- Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve blockers and ensure progress continuity
- Escalate issues appropriately through established governance channels
Stakeholder Alignment & Communication
- Act as the facilitator between Agile teams and business, operations, and technology stakeholders
- Provide clear, consistent communication on sprint progress, risks, and outcomes
- Support alignment on priorities, scope, and delivery expectations
- Enable transparency across pods and leadership through reporting and updates
Governance & Reporting
- Maintain Agile artifacts including sprint boards, backlog status, and team metrics
- Provide consistent reporting on sprint outcomes, delivery health, and risks
- Support governance forums, including program reviews and stakeholder updates
- Ensure alignment to PMO standards while operating within Agile frameworks
Cross-Team Coordination
- Collaborate with other Scrum Masters to manage cross-pod dependencies
- Participate in Scrum of Scrums or scaling ceremonies as applicable
- Ensure alignment across workstreams to support integrated delivery
Core Capabilities
Required Experience & Skills
- 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or in Agile delivery roles within complex, enterprise environments
- Proven ability to support multiple Agile teams in fast-paced, high-accountability settings
- Strong facilitation, coaching, and conflict resolution skills
- Demonstrated ability to improve team performance and delivery outcomes
Agile Delivery Expertise
- Deep understanding of Scrum and Agile principles
- Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and driving continuous improvement
- Familiarity with scaled Agile environments (multiple teams/pods)
- Strong understanding of dependency management and cross-functional coordination
Tools & Platforms
- Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar
- Familiarity with Planview or enterprise PPM tools is a plus
- Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments
Domain Experience (Preferred)
Experience in supply chain, logistics, or distribution environments, including:
- Warehouse and transportation operations
- Inventory and logistics performance metrics (e.g., OTIF, fill rate, inventory turns)
- Order fulfillment and delivery optimization
- Process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives
Work Location & Onsite Requirements
The selected resource is required to work on-site at the designated office location a minimum of two (2) days per week.
