Associate, CM KYC Training & Competency

Overview
We are seeking a KYC Training & Competency Specialist to support the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of training programs within a highly regulated AML/KYC environment.
This role is ideal for a KYC professional who enjoys coaching others and translating complex regulatory concepts into effective learning experiences.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain KYC training materials, job aids, SOPs, reference guides, and onboarding content.
- Facilitate virtual training sessions for analysts and operational teams.
- Support competency assessments and ongoing learning initiatives.
- Provide guidance on KYC onboarding, customer due diligence, ownership structures, and AML requirements.
- Identify training gaps and create content to address knowledge deficiencies.
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure training remains aligned with evolving regulatory and business requirements.
- Support platform and process transformation initiatives.
Qualifications
Required
- 3-5 years of hands-on KYC file completion experience.
- Experience within Capital Markets KYC environments.
- Experience using Fen-E.
- Strong understanding of AML and customer due diligence processes.
- Experience creating training materials or operational documentation.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred
- Adult learning or instructional design experience.
- ADDIE methodology experience.
- ACAMS certification.
- Experience with AI productivity tools.
Additional notes:
Reporting to the VP, Global CM KYC Training & Competency in the effective implementation, maintenance and administration of the CM KYC Training program.
Responsibilities include developing training content, delivery of training across global time zones, record maintenance, reporting on outcomes, and participating in review of The Bank’s AML/KYC procedures, as well as offering insight to our KYC analysts as to the relevance of specific KYC requirements.
This role involves a significant degree of stakeholder collaboration, engagement and management in the form of feedback, mentorship, guidance and reporting trend analysis upward. Capital Markets is a high-paced, quickly-evolving business that centres on client experience. The successful candidate has an ability to prioritize tasks and initiatives independently and constantly, in order to deliver consistent understanding of The Bank’s KYC expectations and the delivery thereof.
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in completing AML KYC in the Capital Markets industry and ideally within Fen-E;
- Demonstrated ability to create and maintain job aids, case studies, standard operating procedures/written supervisory procedures, and visuals to support that content;
- Demonstrated ability to identify training/program gaps and develop content to address knowledge gaps;
- Understanding of significance of document precedence in a highly regulated industry;
- Prior training experience an asset;
- Experience or education in adult learning an asset.
Skills
- Intermediate MS suite, with particular emphasis on Sharepoint and PowerPoint;
- Familiarity with CoPilot, ChatGPT, and Claude;
- Demonstrated advanced written and oral communication skills; specifically including the ability to tailor message to audience understanding/knowledge;
- Reporting, report generation, and trend analysis
- Ability to provide and receive improvement-oriented feedback;
- ACAMS certification preferred; other industry certifications an asset;
- Experience with Fen-E.
