JOB DESCRIPTION
Insight Global is looking for a Transportation Coordinator to join our retail client's Transportation team in the GTA for a 6 month contract (with potential extension). This is a fully onsite role, which runs a 12hr rotation of shifts (including at least one weekend day). The Transportation Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting daily logistics and dispatch functions, ensuring smooth coordination between drivers, vendors, and internal teams. This entry-level position involves managing transportation systems, handling data entry and reporting, tracking store transfers and vendor appointments, and responding to operational issues such as trailer servicing and spill cleanups. Ideal for a recent graduate, the role offers in-house training and requires strategic decision-making, basic spreadsheet skills, and familiarity with the GTA’s geography.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
-Basic proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets (data entry, copy/paste etc.,)
-Strong decision-making and critical thinking skills and a strategic mindset.
-Familiarity with GTA geography (transportation routes will all be within Ontario).
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
-Educational background in supply chain, logistics, or a related field
