JOB DESCRIPTION
Location: Cambridge, ON - 5x Per Week
Employment: 12-Month Contract + Extension/Conversion
Rate: $36-$40
Travel: Travel to Customer Site (Covered by company)
Insight Global is looking for a service technologist to join a top automation company on a contract basis. This resource will be joining a nuclear services team, working with the design group, project manager, and end client to develop, test, and implement system solutions that meet the customer's process requirements. Responsibilities include supporting design reviews, learning the customer process, supporting the design and integration of systems/equipment and participating in the integration/commissioning/troubleshooting. The first 6 months of the role will be onsite in Cambridge and then transition to a service role where the successful candidate will be required to go onsite in Pickering on an interval basis.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
2-5 years of experience in machine design/build, machine integrations, hands-on tooling and structured problem solving
Experience with automation tooling/equipment development and testing, as well as field support
Knowledge of SolidWorks (for troubleshooting and reading electrical and mechanical drawings)
A post-secondary degree in Mechatronics, Systems Design, Electrical, electro-mechanical
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Nuclear background Experience with field work
