Travel Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Medical Surgical

Russell Tobin is seeking experienced Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for Medical Surgical travel assignments across British Columbia. This opportunity is ideal for dedicated nursing professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care in acute care settings while collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to medical and surgical patients within the LPN scope of practice.
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and progress.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Assist with pre-operative and post-operative patient care.
- Support patient mobility, comfort, and activities of daily living.
- Collaborate with Registered Nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Educate patients and families on care plans and recovery.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Current registration and good standing with BCCNM as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Minimum 1 year of recent medical-surgical nursing experience.
- Current BLS Certification.
- Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new healthcare environments and workflows.
- Flexibility to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous travel nursing experience.
- Experience in acute care hospital settings.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
- Additional certifications relevant to medical-surgical nursing.
Position Details
- Assignment Length: 4-13 Weeks (Potential Extension)
- Schedule and Shifts: Full-time hours (80 Hours Bi-Weekly) with rotating shifts based on operational needs
- Compensation: CAD $40-$48 per Hour
